With under 80 days left before the election, the United States Postal Service is deactivating and removing all mail sorting machines from facilities around the country. These are the same machines that are used to sort ballots. At least 19 sorting machines from five processing facilities have already been removed or scheduled to be. Mail-in voting is expected to cause a surge in mail for the 2020 election. Trump has said that he wants to withhold funding from the post office.
