In this video, we show you how to make a delicious Raan Biryani Recipe. Raan is the name given to the back leg of the lamb, and in this amazing Biryani, a whole leg of lamb that is placed on top of the fragrant rice is the star of the show. This Raan Biryani Recipe is truly a special dish and befitting for the grand celebration of Eid Al Adha (or Bakra Eid). It took us the best part of 24 hours to prepare this amazing Raan Biryani and trust me, it was well worth the wait! This biryani is inspired by the Raan Biryani that we had on holiday in Mumbai at the famous Persian Darbar restaurant. This truly is a special dish for any celebration. For the Raan Birayni Recipe, you will need: leg of lamb (Raan) Written ingredients to follow very soon. Marinate the Raan (leg of lamb or mutton) for 8 to 12 hours (overnight) for best results, then slow cook the lamb leg in the oven for 3 to 4 hours. The Raan is then placed in the biryani masala to absorb all the gorgeous flavours and then put on top of the biryani rice as a show stopper. Traditionally the Raan Biryani Recipe is served with boiled eggs that have been cut in half and placed as a decoration around the Biryani. Raan Biryani is the perfect recipe for Eid 2020 and we highly recommend that you give it a try. Although it takes a while to prepare the Raan mutton Biryani, it is totally worth it and will blow your friends and family away. Remarkably, this Raan Biryani Recipe tastes and looks very similar to the one served at the famous Persian Darbar restaurant in Mumbai. We hope you have seen how easily we have explained the steps to make this Raan Biryani Recipe using a whole leg of lamb, and give it a try during this Bakra Eid al Adha.
